Adult Sunday School
The mission of the Adult Christian Education committee is to promote and support programs and events that will nurture individual spiritual growth and encourage fellowship for adult members and friends of Aldersgate while on their Christian journey.
There are seven great adult Sunday school classes to choose from here at Aldersgate. They meet every Sunday morning, and range from contemporary to traditional. It doesn't matter which service you attend; there is a Sunday school class that meets before or after it.

Rise 'n Shine
The Rise ‘n Shine Sunday School class started in the fall of 2008 with an enthusiastic group of couples and individuals interested in strengthening their faith through various studies and discussion. In addition to exploring and sharing Christian beliefs, the class benefits from the development of new friendships within our church. We welcome and encourage others to attend. The class meets downstairs in Room 2 at 8:30 a.m., which is an ideal time for those wanting to attend the 9:40 a.m. blended service or who like to help with the children’s Christian Education rotations.

J.O.Y. (Jesus, Others, and You)
The J.O.Y. Sunday school class members have the joy and love of Jesus in their hearts, and they pass both on to all of us here at Aldersgate. They describe themselves as a group of senior Christian friends who are "Young at Heart", with wisdom gained by having traveled many of life’s roads. They meet to support one another and to continue increasing their knowledge through their study of God’s Word and the teachings of Christ. Their goal is to apply Christian living in a troubled world. They invite you to visit their dynamic and interesting class which meets Sundays at 9:30, upstairs in room 122 (the staff workroom).
Faith Meets Life
Faith Meets Life is a multi-age group which utilizes various materials and aids to help in the interpretation and understanding of the Scriptures and their application to our daily lives and spiritual walk. "We commune together and support those in need. We share our joys and sorrows - our concerns and fears. We cry, but celebrate with joyful and thankful hearts, as well as share several social and spiritual events." The class meets Sundays at 9:30 a.m., downstairs in room 15.
Growth Through Christ

The Growth Through Christ (GTC) Sunday School class members describe themselves as being diverse, eclectic, joyful, spirited, inviting, and eager to pursue a closer walk with God. If you decide to visit, you will be warmly welcomed. You will see friends of different ages from young adults to retirees, both couples and singles. Believing in the need for a strong support system, you will hear words of comfort and encouragement as they walk with each other through the ups and downs of life. Discussion in class boasts varying opinions due to members that span all ages and stages of life. Always spirited, respectful and filled with enthusiastic laughter, you will quickly realize that this is a class that encourages spiritual growth. You will help make plans for their next fellowship and mission activities. One of their favorite activities is putting together care packages for the college students of Aldersgate. And you will become involved in one of a variety of studies that are always thought-provoking and challenging as they grow in their relationship with Christ and with each other. The class meets on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m., downstairs in room 13.
Bible Seekers
This newly formed Sunday School class has a desire to dig deeper into God’s word by using the Bible itself, along with many other resources, not only to gain knowledge, but to seek understanding and meaning. There are usually 6 to 10 people, from different backgrounds and different places on their spiritual journey, supporting the growth of all, and welcome anyone to join them full time or just to enjoy whatever study sounds interesting. They have recently done a study on the book of Genesis and another study called "The Prodigal God". The class meets Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m., downstairs in room 2.
T-Bils
T-Bils is an informal class of fun-loving forty-somethings (who's counting). The class name stands for The Bible in Life. Members study materials related to faith and contemporary issues using the Bible as a guide to living. A special emphasis is placed on fellowship and Christian friendships, as we share each others trials and grow in faith. They can occasionally be found camping together at the lake, or fellowshipping at the Panera Bread restaurant. The class meets Sundays at 9:30 a.m., downstairs in room 3.
Family Builders
Family Builders are a group of parents with birth through school-age children. Outside of Sunday mornings, they meet for family gatherings, girls-night-out, and other adult gatherings. Their mission is to provide Christian fellowship and support for families committed to teaching their children about God, while continuing to nurture their own faith. Anyone can join them for encouragement through difficult times, prayer, faith building, and friendship in our Lord Jesus Christ. The class meets Sundays at 9:30 a.m., downstairs in room 4.
