Adult Study OpportunitiesCheck the calendar or contact the adult education coordinator for the current schedule for these offerings.
Spiritual AssessmentWhere are you on your Spiritual Journey? Where do you want to go next? To guide you in this journey, the adult education committee is offering a spiritual assessment to be used individually, or as a class or small group, to help you decide your next study focus. You can take the assessment online, or download and print the document.
Bible StudiesDiscipleDisciple Bible Study is a 30 to 34 week study of the Bible, requiring 30 minutes of study per day. Aldersgate has several active Disciple groups. They begin in the fall and run through May.
Women's Bible StudyThese Bible studies are designed especially for women and use material such as the Beth Moore series. The approach used is of a woman's own perspective on life and the teachings of the Bible.
Men's Bible StudyThese studies are designed especially for men, and use materials such as Men's Fraternity, Letters from Dad, and other men oriented studies that help to guide men in their faith journeys. Each study usually meets for 6 to 8 weeks.
The Aldersgate Lunch BunchThis is a small, informal group of men and women who meet at noon on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays each month to discuss the current book they are reading while they eat their lunch or visit.
MOM's FellowshipThe MOM's Fellowship Group is an uplifting time of Bible study, fellowship, food, speakers, crafts, and other fun activities for moms of all ages. That means it's a group consisting of moms with babies, toddlers, teenagers, children grown and out of the house, and grandmothers. One group meets Tuesday mornings while another group meets Wednesday evenings at various times of the year, with each session lasting approximately 8 weeks.
Sisters FellowshipSisters Fellowship is a small group of women who meet Tuesday evenings off site to study God’s word and how to apply it to their daily lives.
Circle of FriendsCircle of Friends is a group of 10 to 12 ladies meeting in a relaxed home setting on Tuesday evenings. They usually study Beth Moore's materials, which include watching a video and going over study questions.
Dinner and DiscoveryThis group meets off site approximately every other Sunday evening for a potluck dinner followed by Bible study. We welcome new members to this fellowship and Bible Study group!
Dinner and a PrayerThis prayer group meets off site on the 1st and 3rd Sundays.
Mother/Daughter Small Group StudyThis group helps mothers gain insight on the special challenges that daughters face in this complex world. They meet off site on the 2nd Friday of the month.
Other StudiesFinancial Peace UniversityFinancial Peace University (FPU) is a 13-week program that encourages positive financial behavior with accountability and support. Dave Ramsey, the founder of FPU, is the author of The New York Times best-selling books Financial Peace and Total Money Makeover. He is also the host of a nationally syndicated radio talk show. Special StudiesThere are often seasonal studies such as Advent and Lenten studies, short term Sunday school classes, and other topical studies that are offered throughout the year as the Spirit moves us towards glorifying the Father!
