Adult Programs
Chancel Choir, directed by Don Gray
Rehearsals: Wednesday 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary
All adults are invited to join this choir that provides worship leadership at 8:15 and 11:00 services on Sunday mornings. Chancel Choir prepares one anthem per week, and also performs Christmas and Easter cantatas in alternate years.
Blended Worship Team, directed by Lisa Cookson
Rehearsals: Wednesday 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary
The Blended Worship Team leads worship at 9:30 on Sunday mornings. Comprised of a praise band and choir, the Blended Worship Team seeks to provide variety in worship at Aldersgate through contemporary style. All singers and instrumentalists are welcome to participate.
Ensembles
Rehearsals: as needed
Occasionally special groups will perform in worship. Contact Don Gray if interested. Rehearsals for these groups will be announced as needed.
Carillon Bells, directed by Don Gray
Rehearsals: Wednesday 6:30 - 7:15 p.m. in the Choir Room
This adult handbell ensemble requires some musical expertise, such as the ability to read music. Carillon plays in worship once a month.
Orchestra, directed by Don Gray
Rehearsals: Sunday 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary (Seasonally)
All band and orchestra instruments are needed. Youth and adults with at least two years experience playing an orchestral instrument are welcome.
Youth Programs
IMPACT Singers, directed by Lisa Cookson and Bruce Greenlee
Rehearsals: Sunday 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary
All youth are welcome to sing in the youth choir. IMPACT Youth Choir sings in worship every other month.
Children's Programs
Sonbeamers, directed by Riki Voth and Lissa Spieckermann
Rehearsals: Wednesday 6:00 - 6:20 p.m. in the Great Room
This choir is for children from age 3 through Kindergarten. Sonbeamers sing once per month in worship.
Special Music
Coordinators: Sheri-lyn King and Alana Maris
All are welcome to participate in Special Music at Aldersgate! You can sing a solo, play in instrumental solo, or grab a few friends for an ensemble. The possibilities are endless! You may suggest music that you would like to do, or the music staff can help you find music. Sheri-lyn is usually available to rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m.;
email her if you will be needing her for accompaniment.
