Student Activities

The student ministry at Aldersgate is designed to provide a safe environment with spiritual support for students in grades 6 through 12. Our program provides a variety of ways to give youth opportunities to learn, grow, and make friends.

CONFIRMATION
Confirmation gives youth the opportunity to make their commitment to Jesus Christ and the United Methodist Church firm. This is also how youth can become full members of the church. Confirmation classes begin on the first Wednesday in November and run through April. All youth who are currently enrolled in, or have completed, 7th grade and have not yet been confirmed, are invited to take part in Confirmation class.

PARENTS & VOLUNTEERS
Parents are vital to this ministry. On a rotating basis, parents are asked to drive for events, help with fundraisers, stay for lock-ins, open their home for events, or host youth on trips.

Adult sponsors are church members who help lead the youth, plan programs, provide transportation, and sponsor youth trips and activities. Each sponsor focuses on either Middle School or High School.

FORMS
All youth, friends, sponsors, and parent drivers must have a permission slip on file with the Youth Ministries Office before they can participate in youth activities. Youth forms are available in the youth rooms, in the Director of Youth Ministries office, or can be printed from the links given here. Please turn all forms into the church office.
