Youth Ministries

Purpose Statement

The purpose of the Aldersgate Youth Ministry Program is to evangelize and made disciples of Jesus Christ, provide a safe environment with spiritual support, have a better sense of God's will by establishing confidence in faith, achieve a spiritual high by changing lives from the inside-out, and to grow in a relationship with God through Christian fellowship.

Vision Statement

Working together to spread the word of Jesus Christ, the Youth Ministries of Aldersgate UMC welcomes all. By taking the journey to deepen our relationship with God, we commit ourselves to helping others through mission work and evangelism. Our faith is celebrated in worship and in fellowship with a caring, loving and supportive environment. This is a ministry where people of every different kind come to know and appreciate God’s love.

Remember that all youth, friends, sponsors, and parent drivers must have a permission slip on file with the Youth Ministries Office before they can participate in youth activities. See below to print out the forms.

Schedule

Youth Sunday Morning schedule:

9:30-10:45 - Sunday School for Mid-High and Sr. High

Youth Sunday Night Fall schedule:

5:30-6:00 - IMPACT Youth Choir
6:00-6:45 - Snack Supper
6:45-7:00 - Youth Led Worship
7:00-8:15 - Sr. High and Mid-High Youth Groups

Breakfast at Panera, Wednesday morning, 6.45 a.m.

All Sr. High youth are invited to join Steve for breakfast and a devotion at Panera before school every Wednesday. Steve will be there by 6:45 a.m., and if you are there by 7:00 a.m., the church will buy your breakfast.

Forms

Youth forms are available in the youth rooms, in the Director of Youth Ministries office, or can be printed from the links given here. Please turn all forms into the church office.

The AUMC Activities Permission/Liability/Medical Slip for the 2010-2011 School Year is to be completed by the parent or legal guardian for each youth participating in youth group activities. This form MUST be on file with the church office.
The Adult Volunteer Medical/Permission Release Form must be completed by any adult who will sponsor a youth event, open their home for a youth event, or provide transportation for a youth event.
The Youth Data Form is helpful for ministry planning if each youth will complete this form.
The Parent Information Form is helpful for resources, talents, and leadership assistance the parents have to offer the youth ministries.
The Sponsor Information Pages must be completed by any adult who wishes to be a youth sponsor.
