Career Seekers Support Group

The Career Seekers Support Group is currently meeting the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month at noon in the Conference Room. You can also contact for resume or interviewing assistance, or to share job postings or other information.
The loss of a job can mean loss of income, loss of self esteem, and loss of confidence. If you, or someone you know, is looking for a job, Career Seekers offers spiritual and emotional support, as well as assistance with resumes and job search correspondence, interview skills, networking opportunities, job postings, and career guidance.
Career Seekers also offers support and career guidance to those recently retired or anticipating retirement. Although we may look forward to retirement, when we actually reach that stage of life we may find ourselves at a loss regarding our purpose and what to do with our time. The retiree may benefit from support and help finding ways to be of service, volunteer opportunities, or part-time employment.
We have developed relationships with the Workforce Center, VA Round Table network, Wichita Circles Jobs and Eduation Committee, New Covenant United Methodist Church in Delano District, Central Plains Area Agency on Aging, Non-Profit Chamber of Service, Dress for Success, Fresh Hope, and Union Rescue Mission.
Anyone with a need is welcome to attend Career Seekers. We meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month at 12 noon in the Aldersgate Church Conference Room. For planning purposes, we ask that you call the church office at 722-8504 to register to attend.
One-on-one appointments with a career coach are also available and can be scheduled by calling the church office at 722-8504.
