The Finance Committee anticipates that we will pay off the church mortgage in January 2020. Watch for details as we plan to celebrate!
February 23: Family Promise Training @ 12:30 p.m.
Family Promise is a program helping families escape permanently from homelessness. Last year we developed a team of volunteers to support host congregation Hope Mennonite Church. This will be a refresher training for those volunteers, as well as a time for other to come and learn about Family Promise and qualify as volunteers for the program in the future, but it is not a commitment.
February 25: Fat Tuesday Pancake Supper
Shrove (or Fat) Tuesday is celebrated the day before Lent begins, the evening before Ash Wednesday. Traditionally, pancakes were eaten to use up the sugar ad fat and other foods restricted during Lent. Come to Fellowship Hall for all you can eat pancakes, starting at 5:30 p.m., with live jazz starting at 6 p.m.
March 5-8 (Men) and 12-15 (Women)
The Walk to Emmaus is an experience of Christian spiritual renewal and formation. It is an opportunity to meet Jesus Christ in a new way as God’s grace and love is revealed to ou through other believers. The Bread of Life Community is sponsoring a walk for men March 5-8 and a walk for women March 12-15 at Garden City First UMC. For more information, please see
